Leeds' summer just looks to be on the verge of being a frustrating last few weeks or so.

So far the only signing Marcelo Bielsa has brought in is Lewis Baker. Although the Chelsea man is a top talent and will be a great addition to the squad, Leeds need another striker, a goalkeeper and ideally another defender to partner Pontus Jansson.

The club had been considering a deal for Swansea City defender, Kyle Bartley according to reports. The defender spent a year on loan where he impressed the Elland Road faithful, and also formed a great partnership with Jansson.

Bielsa had wanted to bring Bartley back to Elland Road but according to reports Leeds are going to lose out on the race to sign the defender as Sky Sports has reported that West Brom are close to agreeing a £4 million deal with Swansea.

Although Alfie Mawson and Frederico Fernandez are expected to move from Swansea City this summer, it was thought that Bartley was still surplus to requirements.

A solid defender, missing out on Bartley is going to be a huge miss for Leeds. Time is ticking and the club desperately need to bring some reinforcements in.

In combination with Jansson, Bielsa could've had a solid base to build his team around but as it stands, Leeds are going to miss out on yet another target. Who knows what the future will bring at the moment but as it stands, Leeds are going into the next season without many players to call upon.
