Leeds United will be desperate to taste promotion during Marcelo Bielsa’s first season in charge at Elland Road, but the remaining time left in the summer transfer window will be key.
Indeed, the Whites have already drafted in a couple of players so far this summer and have another couple in the pipeline, as Marcelo Bielsa continues to work wonders at Elland Road. And, it looks as if a deal is on the verge of completion, as according to Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie’s personal Twitter account, Leeds United are close to signing Patrick Bamford.
It’s understood that Middlesbrough’s Patrick Bamford to Leeds United is close, with a £7 million fee being discussed.
Leeds United desperately need to sign a striker this summer having failed in their pursuit of a number of other targets. And, much to the delight of supporters, it looks as if they’ve finally found their man in the form of Boro forward Patrick Bamford.
The Whites have already managed to bring in the likes of Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman so far this summer, and they look like completing another piece of impressive business, as Patrick Bamford is edging closer to a move.
Of course, with Barry Douglas’ deal still in the pipeline for Leeds United and now Bamford reportedly closing in on a move to Elland Road, they shouldn’t have any trouble in challenging for promotion in the new campaign.
