Leeds confirm Ouasim Bouy departure

Leeds United are continuing to show their fringe players the exit door at Elland Road this summer.

According to an official announcement on the club’s website, Ouasim Bouy has become the latest player to depart since Marcelo Bielsa took over as the Whites new manager.

The midfielder, who is believed to be extremely versatile, has joined Dutch side PEC Zwolle on a season-long loan deal, become his third spell at the club.

The 25-year-old joined Leeds last summer from Juventus, however, he was immediately sent out on loan to Cultural Leonesa.

He struggled to make an impact in Spain and return to the Yorkshire outfit in January but failed to make a single appearance for the club.

Bouy will now be looking to get his career back on track in the Eredivisie and will be hoping to impress during his time back in Holland.

The Verdict:

Bouy certainly does not appear to have a future at Leeds and a move will be the best thing for him this summer.

The 25-year-old is versatile and will be able to play in a number of different positions, which will give him a better chance of playing regular football in the Eredivisie this season.

Leeds have failed to state if the loan deal will contain an option to buy the player permanently, although it is unlikely that he will feature for the Elland Road outfit in the future.
