Leeds could face transfer blow in trying to sign Adam Lovatt

Leeds United recently had Adam Lovatt on trial as they were keen to take a closer look at the Hastings United midfielder.

The 18-year-old has been making waves with his performances for the non-league side and the Whites were one of the first to give him an opportunity with a professional football club.

The Elland Road outfit are thought to remain interested in securing Lovatt, however, it would appear that Marcelo Bielsa’s side may have their work cut out to bring him to Yorkshire.

According to a report by TeamTALK, the highly-rated midfielder has been attracting plenty of interest from a number of other potential suitors.

Brighton and Hove Albion are the latest team to have thought to have made a move for the teenager and are believed to be preparing to open talks with Hastings.

Crystal Palace, Brentford, Reading and West Bromwich Albion are also believed to be keen to add Lovatt to their books.

The Verdict:

Lovatt has certainly become one of non-league football’s most in-demand players recently and it appears that a battle will be on to land him.

Leeds seem to remain keen on the idea of acquiring him after already having a closer look at him, but could be about to miss out on him to Brighton.

The Whites will certainly be keeping a close eye on how things develop and could look to make a last-minute dash to try and convince him to join them at Elland Road.
