Leeds could look to make loan deal permanent

Leeds United have had a disappointing transfer window this summer so far, however, things could be about to get better for the Yorkshire giants.

Marcelo Bielsa will have been frustrated that a number of his targets have not been brought to Elland Road as the club appear to have hit a stumbling block in regards to financial demands.

The likes of Matej Vydra, Abel Hernandez and David Stockdale have all been strongly linked with a move, however, they have failed to materialise.

The club have added Lewis Baker on a season-long loan, whilst Chelsea team-mate Jamal Blackman is also expected to join him in the coming days, but it appears the Whites could be about to bring another player to Elland Road.

According to Phil Hay, the respectable Yorkshire Evening Post journalist has stated on Twitter that the club could be about to bring a Premier League player on loan with a possibility of a permanent deal.

Hay has admitted he does not know who the said player is, however, it shows that Leeds are heading in the right direction this summer with their transfer activity.

The Verdict:

It looks as though it could be exciting times for Leeds in the next couple of weeks as they start to make movements in the transfer window.

There will be an element of cautiousness at the moment, with no names being mentioned, however, the club will be looking at a target that Bielsa has identified to be able to give his squad what is needed to give them a push for a Premier League spot.
