Leeds could miss out on Domingos Quina to Barcelona

Leeds United are looking to make a number of additions before their upcoming Championship campaign and could be about to go up against a European Goliath.

Marcelo Bielsa has been frustrated this summer with the club’s inability to get a number of deals across the line and could be about to miss out on one of his other targets this summer.

The likes of Matej Vydra, Abel Hernandez and David Stockdale have all seen potential moves to Elland Road collapse and the Argentine will have been frustrated with the club not being able to finalise those deals.

Leeds could be about to lose out on another target this summer, as reports are now suggesting that one of world football’s biggest clubs are interested in the same man as the Whites.

According to a report by Sky Sports, Barcelona are thought to have joined the race for West Ham United’s Domingos Quina.

Leeds are understood to have been interested in the midfielder for a number of months, however, with the news that the La Liga giants are considering a swoop, they could yet again miss out on one of their targets this summer.

The Verdict:

Leeds will be desperate not to lose out on another target again this summer, however, the interest of Barcelona could be too good for Quina to turn down.

Bielsa is keen to add quality to his midfield and the West Ham youngster has been widely regarded as a player with a bright future in the game.

The Portuguese would surely benefit by heading to Elland Road, rather than the Nou Camp, as he is likely to get more first-team opportunities for the Whites and could become a key player for the side in the years to come.
