Leeds United have been linked with moves for a number of players in recent weeks, which is only normal as the January transfer window fast approaches.
It does remain to be seen if Marcelo Bielsa will look to add new additions to his squad in the winter as they look to keep challenging for a place in next season’s Premier League.
But, according to a report in Spain, it is understood that the Argentine will return for a player that has been heavily linked with a switch to Elland Road in the last month or so.
The Alaves star’s contract currently expires in the summer, which has led to speculation that the club could listen to offers for him, despite wanting to keep him.
It is said that an offer of around €4million could be put forward to try and lure him away.
Gomez has been a star for Alaves this season and the set-piece specialist has attracted plenty of interest with his performances.
The 29-year-old has been a long-term target for Leeds and has previously worked with Bielsa, which could help to swing things in their favour.
There is no doubt that he would be able to help the Whites push on in their quest for promotion to the Premier League, however, it remains to be seen if Alaves will allow him to go in January.
