Leeds eye move for Jeremain Lens

Leeds United had a day to forget on Friday as they somehow managed to throw away a winning position with an extra man, which allowed Sheffield United to move into second place.

The Whites seriously need to ensure consistency if they are to secure promotion to the Premier League, with three huge games left in their Championship season.

What’s the News?

However, it looks as if the summer transfer window is already on the club’s mind, as according to Fotomac (via Football League World), Leeds could be set to reignite their interest in Jeremain Lens.

The winger has been hugely impressive in the current campaign at current club Besiktas, producing five goals and 10 assists in all competitions.

Leeds will need to bring in at least one winger in the summer with Jack Harrison set to return to Manchester City.

The Verdict:

Jeremain Lens is lightening quick and it appears as if he has the ability to make the most of the promising positions he gets himself into, having produced a large amount of valuable contributions in the current campaign.

Leeds could do with bringing someone in with lots of pace as Harrison and Ezgjan Alioski are quick but they don’t possess a dangerous amount of pace that can change a game.

If the Dutchman can replicate similar stats in England then he’d be well worth the purchase, but his spell with Sunderland certainly won’t fill Leeds United supporters with much hope.
