For a Championship club, transfer windows can often be uneventful, with Premier League loanees and signing players from clubs around you. However, Marcelo Bielsa is set to blow the rest of the league away if he can sign Real Madrid shot-stopper Kiko Casilla, who’s been linked with the club by The Yorkshire Evening Post.

Leeds fans have been calling for a new shot-stopper for a long time now, however, they wouldn’t have expected to be able to shop in Spain, and especially not poaching players from Los Blancos. That’s exactly what is happening, though, and the Whites will be over the moon if they could bring in the new man, although it certainly wouldn’t spell the end of Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
Marcelo Bielsa’s current number one is just 22-years-old and is still learning with every game he plays. For that reason, it’s so important that he isn’t written off too early. Kiko Casilla is a whole ten years older than Peacock-Farrell and he would provide an excellent stop-gap to take the number one shirt until the Leeds academy man can eventually come back to usurp the Spaniard when he comes of age.

The Whites absolutely love the fact that they’re in for the Real Madrid man and will have faith in Bielsa to get it done.
