With January just around the corner, the transfer rumours are starting to come thick and fast and Leeds United do not appear to be exempt from them.
The Whites have had a great first six months under Marcelo Bielsa’s guidance in the Championship, as they remain within touching distance at the summit.
What is more impressive is that the Argentine boss has had to do that with a number of players out on the sidelines, reducing his already threadbare squad even further at moments.
However, he could be about to head into the January transfer window with the intention of bringing some new faces to Elland Road, with one publication reporting that they are in ‘pole position’ to being an experienced man through the doors.
The Whites are thought to have held several rounds of talks with the goalkeeper’s representatives about a move as they are in the market for a new shot-stopper.
There is no doubt that Darlow would be an excellent addition to the Leeds team that would help to provide experienced cover and competition for Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
The goalkeeper has fallen down the pecking order at Newcastle, however, he was instrumental in helping them get back into the Premier League with his performances in their Championship-winning campaign.
It remains to be seen if Darlow would arrive at Elland Road on a permanent deal, or if it would only be a temporary measure, following Jamal Blackman’s time at the club being cut short because of a broken leg.
