Leeds United are thought to be preparing themselves for a battle with their Championship rivals for one of non-league’s hottest prospects.
The 23-year-old has been rather prolific for the National League North side this term, having hit six goals in just seven games so far, alerting the likes of the Elland Road outfit.
However, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are expected to face some stiff competition for Williams, with the likes of Aston Villa, Derby County and Ipswich Town all keeping tabs on the current situation as well.
The Whites are thought to have already shown a real interest in the midfielder, as they are believed to have already scouted the 23-year-old and have watched him in action for Kidderminster.
Williams is an exciting talent and will be just one of the latest players that could make the jump from non-league football into the professional game in the winter.
The midfielder’s contract at Kidderminster is up at the end of the summer, however, with the interest from Leeds and others, the club could be forced to sell him rather than risk him go for nothing.
Leeds are thought to be short in the middle of the field at the moment, and the man that has just been called up into the England C side could be an ideal addition in the future.
