Leeds United suffered a disappointing defeat at the hands of Hull City yesterday as they were beaten 2-0 in front of home support at Elland Road.
The Whites currently find themselves level on points with Norwich City in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League. And, it looks as if the Yorkshire club are eyeing a possible addition, as according to Przeglad Sportowy (via HITC), Leeds are monitoring Mateusz Bogusz.
It’s understood that Leeds are monitoring Polish youngster Mateusz Bogusz, but face Premier League competition from Brighton and Hove Albion, while Stade de Reims are also keen.
Interestingly, his contract expires next summer and he could be available for around £180,000 in compensation, but there is a new contract with his current club also on the table.
Leeds have gotten the very best out of a number of youngsters in the current campaign, so it comes as no surprise that the Whites are looking at bolstering their youth ranks.
Mateusz Bogusz has been very impressive in Poland’s second tier this season, having scored five goals in 19 appearances, along with making great strides on the international stage with the Under-19s.
The likes of Tom Pearce, Jack Clarke, Jamie Shackleton and Bailey Peacock-Farrell have all enjoyed a run in the side over the past couple of seasons, so the future is looking bright for the Whites.
