Leeds keen on West Ham’s Marcus Browne

With the January transfer window around the corner, the rumours surrounding Leeds United continue to build.

And, according to Football Insider, it appears Marcelo Bielsa and the Whites have their eyes on one particular in-demand target.

West Ham United’s Marcus Browne has been excelling for Oxford United on loan this season, which has led to interest from the likes of Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United.

The loanee is extremely versatile when it comes to playing across the front line and has been in rather prolific for the League One outfit this season.

The 20-year-old has netted seven times and provided four assists, which has included three strikes in his last four matches.

Leeds are thought to see the Hammers player as an ideal man to replace the outgoing Samu Saiz, who completed a move to Getafe which will commence in January.

The Verdict:

Browne has been in impressive form for Oxford this season and is highly regarded by those at West Ham.

Although he is only halfway through his loan spell at the League One outfit, Championship interest could see the Irons take action and give Leeds an advantage in bringing him to Elland Road.

With Saiz set to depart, Leeds will need to add a creative playmaker to their ranks and it appears the 20-year-old fits the bill for Bielsa’s side.
