Marcelo Bielsa stuck to his usual tactics and it paid off against Sheffield Wednesday last time out, with Sheffield United’s draw making things even better.
The Whites are on course for promotion but one big worry has been the futures of three Leeds players, as the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Kemar Roofe and Jack Clarke have all been superb this season.
What’s the News?
According to Football Insider, Leeds United plan to open contract talks with key trio Kalvin Phillips, Kemar Roofe and Jack Clarke next month.
Indeed, Leeds are keen to keep hold of all three players and they know they will be better placed to tie them down to new long-term contracts should they secure entry to the top-flight.
All three players have played huge parts this season, so keeping them all at the club will be vital.
Kalvin Phillips has established himself as a star in the current campaign, while the likes of Kemar Roofe and Jack Clarke have made a name for themselves in the final third.
Of course, fans would love nothing more than to see all three players at Elland Road next season, as they could all play a big part in the Premier League if that’s where Leeds end up.
Although, fans will now be anxious with four games left to play in the current campaign, as missing out on promotion could mean that all three players seek moves to the top-flight.
Leeds United fans, surely securing a triple player agreement would be massive for the club? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
