Leeds keeping tabs on Mbaye Diagne

Leeds United are believed to still be chasing a striker as their injury concerns continue to mount.

The Elland Road outfit have had a disastrous time when it comes to their forwards having been ruled out recently.

Patrick Bamford is thought to have been made unavailable for around four months, whilst Kemar Roofe and Pablo Hernandez have also been struggling.

Tyler Roberts appeared to make the required impact for the first-team and netted a double against Preston North End, however, it seems that Marcelo Bielsa has a striker on his radar.

According to a report by Turkish-Football, Kasimpasa’s star forward Mbaye Diagne remains on the Leeds’ list of targets.

The 26-year-old’s agent is thought to have held talks about a move over the summer, however, he remained in Turkey after problems getting a work permit and it is believed Leeds have been keeping tabs on him.

The Verdict:

Leeds will be desperate to see their injury woes stop in the near future knowing that they can not make any additions until January.

The Whites are thought to be extremely light up top and Diagne would be an excellent addition to the side if they were able to add him to their squad in the winter.

The Senegalese striker has been in fine form for Kasimpasa this season, hitting seven goals in five games, and Bielsa would be keen to see him replicate that at Elland Road, should he complete a move to Yorkshire.
