Leeds keeping tabs on Swansea’s Daniel James - Championship

Leeds United are thought to be prepared to enter the January transfer window with attackers on their list of priorities.

The Whites have had a number of injuries and it is believed that Marcelo Bielsa still wants to add a winger to his squad.

And, according to a report by Football Insider, the Elland Road outfit are thought to be in the hunt to sign Daniel James from Swansea City.

The 21-year-old has put in a number of impressive displays for the Welsh outfit since breaking into Graham Potter’s first-team, which has alerted Leeds to him.

It has been claimed that the Whites have had scouts keeping tabs on the player recently and could be prepared to test Swansea with an offer.

James will enter the final six months of his contract in January and Leeds could look to make them an offer.

The Verdict:

Bielsa is keen to add to his attacking ranks in January as he currently lacks options in the team and the Wales Under-21 international could be an excellent addition for the Whites.

James has been very impressive for Swansea this season and the Welsh side will look to do all they can to keep him at the club.

However, should Leeds look to make an offer for him in January, the Swans could find it difficult to keep their 21-year-old star.
