The transfer rumour is in full swing as the current football season approaches its conclusion and Leeds United have not found themselves excluded from the discussions.
Marcelo Bielsa will need to use the transfer market as an opportunity to improve his squad and adding a midfielder with an attacking mind may not necessarily be the Elland Road outfit’s worst idea over the summer.
And, it seems they have one individual on their radar.
What’s the News?
Leeds United have allegedly made an approach for Forest Green Rovers’ Reece Brown, according to a report by Football Insider.
The attacking-midfielder is thought to be regarded as one of the best free agents available in the summer as he has been extremely clinical in front of goal this season in League Two competition.
Brown has been in incredible form for Forest Green Rovers this season in League Two as he has helped to a place in the play-offs with his ability in the final third of the pitch.
The 23-year-old has been a mainstay in the side throughout the campaign, recording ten goals and 11 assists in his 44 appearances across all competitions.
With those returns in front of goal, it is no surprise that there is plenty of interest in him this summer, especially given that his current contract is set to expire in a few months.
The youngster could thrive under Bielsa and look to take his game to another level, although, should Leeds get promoted to the Premier League, questions would surely have to be asked about whether he can make the step up.
Would Brown be any better than the midfielders they already have available at Elland Road? Admittedly, he obviously has plenty of creativity and goal threat, however, he could find the jump from England’s fourth tier to the top-flight a little too overwhelming, which could then give him some trouble later on in his career.
Leeds fans, what do you think of Brown? Is he worth taking a risk on? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
