Leeds man expected to depart as Bielsa eyes replacement

Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate to see their squad improved over the course of the summer and will be expecting Marcelo Bielsa to be active in the market.

One area of concern for the Whites in the bar has been the goalkeeper and the club have been linked with a number of possible targets already, with the likes of Angus Gunn and David Stockdale all being mentioned.

The Elland Road outfit have already seen Felix Wiedwald return to Germany after a difficult first year in England and the Yorkshire Evening Post are suggesting he will not be the only shot-stopper to leave.

According to a report, they are claiming that Andy Lonergan could also be shifted as they look to bring another ‘keeper in, as the veteran did not cover himself in any glory when given the chance. He and Wiedwald continued to be in and out of the team, however, Bielsa will want someone that is reliable and not prone to making mistakes.

Landlord’s Verdict

The resident Whites will want to see another goalkeeper come to Elland Road before they see Lonergan leave, with just Bailey Peacock-Farrell the only other recognised man at the moment.

The locals would not be disappointed to see him depart this summer if he did and will be hopeful the next goalkeeper they bring in will be able to help take them to the Premier League.
