Marcelo Bielsa oversaw a mass clear out when he took over as Leeds United boss in the summer.
He managed to offload a number of players he did not see appearing in his first-team plans, with a number of them leaving the club on loan.
Caleb Ekuban was one of those to depart from Elland Road in the summer when he joined Trabzonspor.
The £500k flop, who was signed by Thomas Christiansen, seems to have done enough to convince Trabzonspor to turn his stay into a permanent one.
The 24-year-old, who has three goals this season in 177 minutes of action, is thought to have a clause in his deal allowing him to stay for €1million, something he wants to happen.
Realistically, Ekuban was never going to get a chance under Bielsa at Leeds so a move would certainly be right for him.
With the likes of Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford to lead the line, as well as the prospect of playing in the Premier League next season, the 24-year-old’s time at Elland Road was always limited.
The club will be pleased to be able to get him off their books permanently, should Trabzonspor decide to go through with a deal.
