Leeds preparing to play a waiting game for Steven Zuber

Leeds United are thought to be in the market for a winger this January as they look to add to their ranks to push for promotion.

The Whites are understood to be keen on Hoffenheim’s Steven Zuber, who could be allowed to depart from the Bundesliga outfit this winter.

However, according to a report by The Daily Mirror, it appears the Championship side could be prepared to play a waiting game for the 27-year-old.

It is believed Hoffenheim want £10.8million for the experienced Switzerland international – a figure that is thought to put him out of Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds’ reach.

The Whites are thought to remain keen on Zuber and will wait to see if the winger will be allowed to leave for less, or even on loan, as the window continues to move on.

The Verdict:

Leeds definitely seem keen on landing Zuber and he would certainly be a great addition to the side if they were able to land him.

The experienced international winger could be the man to help the Elland Road outfit reinvent themselves and bring a new dimension to the side as they look to keep their promotion aspirations alive.

However, there is always a danger of playing a waiting game and Bielsa will hope his side do not miss out on the 27-year-old.
