Leeds remain interested in Jeremain Lens

Leeds United are thought to be keen on bolstering their squad in the winter transfer window and one name that has cropped up appears to continue being linked.

According to Aksam, via Sport Witness, Jeremain Lens remains a target for Marcelo Bielsa as he continues to impress in the Turkish Super Lig.

It has been claimed that Leeds are looking to sign him on a temporary deal with the view to a permanent switch, should they achieve promotion to the Premier League.

The 31-year-old has prior experience of playing in English football, having a spell with Sunderland and continues to put in a number of impressive performances for Besiktas.

The Verdict:

There is no doubt that Lens would be an excellent addition for Leeds should he continue to play as well as he is for Besiktas.

However, there could be some problems with trying to bring the £3.6million-rated winger, as per Transfermarkt, to Elland Road.

It remains to be seen if the Turkish giants will entertain a deal for him in January, considering that they have only just signed him permanently from Sunderland in the summer.
