Leeds United’s pursuit for a new goalkeeper appears to be on the verge of coming to an end.
The Whites have Bailey Peacock-Farrell as their only senior option at the moment, having seen Jamal Blackman make a return to Chelsea following his leg injury.
Real Madrid’s Kiko Casilla is thought to be on his way to Elland Road imminently and will undergo a medical with the club early next week.
The 32-year-old is hugely experienced, however, he has not had an opportunity at the La Liga giants this season with Thibaut Courtois and Keylor Navas battling it out.
Provided there are no complications in the deal, Casilla could be in action for the Whites when they meet Stoke City next Saturday.
Casilla would be a huge addition for Leeds and someone the club will undoubtedly benefit from, whether he plays or acts as a mentor for Peacock-Farrell.
The 32-year-old has played at the highest level for Real Madrid and could be considered a major coup for the Championship outfit this January.
Should he indeed arrive imminently, Leeds will also have plenty of time to work on other potential targets they may have to try and bolster their chances of achieving Premier League football next season.
