Leeds United have had a frustrating transfer window this summer as they have struggled to get a number of their main targets over the line.
Marcelo Bielsa would have expected to have had some of them at Elland Road already as they prepare for the upcoming Championship season, however, problem after problem appears to have arisen each time.
The new manager has also been keen to offload a number of his fringe players this summer as well, as he looks to reduce his squad and raise the finances needed but according to a report, one man is gathering interest that they would rather not sell.
The Yorkshire Evening Post are claiming that Leeds will look to resist any advances for Kemar Roofe with West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United and Blackburn Rovers all being credited with possible moves for the 25-year-old.
The attacker finished as the club’s top goalscorer last season and Bielsa is thought to be keen to have him in his first-team plans, especially since their failure to land Matej Vydra and Abel Hernandez.
Leeds should do all they can to keep Roofe at Elland Road this summer as they currently lack any other striking options. The Whites have so far failed to bring a striker to the club and if they continue in the same vein, and decided to cash in on the 25-year-old, it could be a long season for them as they will surely struggle to find goals.
