Marcelo Bielsa is believed to be keen to add a goalkeeper to his Leeds United squad in the January transfer window.
The Whites only have Bailey Peacock-Farrell as their senior shot-stopper currently and the club are keen to provide him with some competition and experience as they look to continue their charge for promotion.
Football Insider had claimed that Karl Darlow was a target, however, Newcastle United are refusing to let the 28-year-old leave in the January window.
That news has meant the Yorkshire outfit have had to turn their attention elsewhere, with the same report claiming their sources believe Leeds are looking at Spain as a possible option.
No names are currently suggested, although things can happen pretty quickly during the transfer window.
Leeds certainly need to add a goalkeeper to their squad this season as the situation with Peacock-Farrell as their only senior shot-stopper has become a little bit of a concern.
The Northern Ireland international has not always covered himself in glory at times this season and questions have risen about his performances in some matches.
It remains to be seen if they find anyone from the Mediterranean country to bring to the Championship in January, although Bielsa will be hoping the Elland Road outfit acts fast.
