It’s been a while so here’s some Transfer Tavern gossip straight from the bar for our old friends Leeds United! The Whites are one of four clubs being linked with a move for Nottingham Forest winger Jamie Ward, according to the Daily Mail.
The Forest forward has picked up plenty of admirers after featuring heavily in Northern Ireland’s Euro 2016 campaign out in France.
The Green and White army were eventually knocked out by surprise semi-finalists Wales but nonetheless, Ward stood out from the crowd.
And following his form, he is now being linked to a quartet of Championship clubs in Leeds United, Brighton, Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers.
Out of the quartet it is probably Birmingham who are most desperate for new faces having signed only two players since the transfer window opened.
Ryan Shotton and Robert Tesche have both linked up with Gary Rowett’s Blues, but with the season only a couple of days away, Blues fans will be expecting more additions in the coming days.
He made 34 appearances for Forest last season having joined from arch rivals Derby County at the start of the 2015/2016 campaign.
Leeds fans in particular, would Ward improve the Elland Road ranks at all? Let us know below!
