Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern are expecting the club to make a number of changes this summer and their latest rumoured target could get the locals excited.
The Daily Mail are claiming the Elland Road outfit are considering to make a move for Hull City’s Abel Hernandez. The Uruguay international is out of contract this summer and it is believed he is prepared to leave the KCOM Stadium.
Many of the locals in the bar will feel the 27-year-old can do a job for the Whites, who have struggled to find an out-and-out goalscorer, as he has proven himself at the Championship level. Since joining the Tigers in 2014, who are desperate to try and keep him, he has netted 39 times in 110 appearances across all competitions.
The striker would certainly improve Paul Heckingbottom’s side and would be deemed available to sign to their budget and should be strongly considered. The international is likely to have a number of suitors should he decide to leave Hull and Leeds should do all they can to convince him to join them.
The locals in the Tavern want their side to be pushing for a Premier League place next season and having a player of Hernandez’s ability would surely help them move up the table and remain competitive throughout.
