Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will have been frustrated with how their season has gone and will be demanding the club bring in a number of new additions to rebuild the squad.
The Whites look to be finishing the campaign in a mid-table position after a positive start in the Championship, however, a number of successive defeats saw all that progress stop and drastic measures had to be taken.
Thomas Christiansen was relieved of his role as manager and was replaced by Paul Heckingbottom in February, although the former Barnsley boss has found it difficult to stop the rot his predecessor had encountered.
The locals will want new faces to be brought in to enable them to compete for promotion next season and the Yorkshire Evening Post are reporting they could target a familiar face. Swansea City’s Kyle Bartley has been linked with a move back to Elland Road, having spent the previous campaign with them, although it will depend on whether the Swans remain in the Premier League.
Carlos Carvalhal is thought to be prepared to listen to offers for him should they retain their status, however, should they head down to the Championship, the 26-year-old is likely to feature should they be unable to keep Alfie Mawson.
The Leeds locals in the Tavern will be urging the club to bring back Bartley after he became a fan favourite during his time with the club partnering Pontus Jansson at the back, however, they will need the Welsh outfit to stay in the top-flight to have any chance of striking a deal.
