Leeds United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be watching the latest developments in regards to a new manager with a close eye in the next week.
The Whites decided to let Paul Heckingbottom depart from the club after just 115 days into his reign, with just four wins from his 16 games in charge. Marcelo Bielsa has emerged as the favourite to be named their 11th manager in five years and Phil Hay has proved the locals with an update on the situation.
The reputable journalist, who works with the Yorkshire Evening Post, has told the punters in the bar that the Argentine manager is still at the top of Andrea Radrizanni’s list but it is far from being a done deal.
Back to it: Marcelo Biesla latest – still top of the list at Leeds but by no means a done deal. Club hope to have new head coach in place before the end of the week. #lufc

Hay also provided an update that would delight the fans in the meantime by stating that the Elland Road outfit would be hopeful that they can name a new boss before the end of the week.
The Leeds fans in the Tavern will be hoping a deal can be completed soon, with Bielsa a huge coup considering his world experience, as the club will need to be active in the transfer market.
The Whites were disappointing last season and will need to improve during the summer if they are to challenge for promotion to the Premier League, regardless of whether Bielsa or someone else is named in charge.
