Leeds United can’t afford many more slip-ups if they are to challenge for an automatic promotion place this season, with a number of teams around them picking up points.
The Whites have been completely redefined under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa in the current campaign as they now find themselves in an incredible position to secure promotion to the Premier League. And, it appears as if they’re eyeing a potential addition, as according to The Daily Mail, Leeds United are monitoring Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Ed Williams.
Leeds United, Derby County and Aston Villa have all checked on Williams, who was called up to the England C squad to face Estonia last month.
And, scouts watched Williams again on Saturday as high-flying Kidderminster faced Southport.
The 23-year-old has made a name for himself in the current campaign having notched ten goals in 14 games, which has alerted clubs in the top flight.
Indeed, Premier League clubs are also monitoring the midfielder ahead of a potential move.
Leeds United could do with bringing in another quality midfielder to provide competition and help contribute in the final third, with the likes of Samuel Saiz and Lewis Baker struggling to live up to expectations.
Indeed, the Englishman has plenty of potential and deserves a move to the Football League or higher, but it remains to be seen as to whether he will crumble under the pressure.
