Leeds United plotting ambitious managerial swoop

MoyesLeeds United fans in The Transfer Tavern are discussing news reports that the club are eyeing a move for an experienced Premier League manager.

The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Championship clubs potential new owner Steve Parkin has the Scotsman top of his list to lead the club.

Moyes saw his reign in Spain end on Monday when Real Sociedad decided to dispense of his services after 12 months with the club.

The Scotsman best known for his successes with Everton is seen as an ideal fit for the club and Parkin hopes he will accept the challenge should he gain control of the West Yorkshire club.

After 10 years with Everton, Moyes left to take over at Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson retired. The move to Old Trafford was unsuccessful and he found himself sacked as manager last March.

He was soon back in the game and went to try his luck with Sociedad but a record of 12 wins in 42 games was not enough to keep his job.

Those Leeds United fans in The Transfer Tavern are hopeful a takeover will help the club move forward, and just hope the potential owners bring the stability the club needs.
