The Leeds United fans who are competing in a darts tournament in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports that one of their strikers is a wanted man.
The Yorkshire Evening Post is reporting that Mirco Antenucci is wanted back in Italy for next season.
Antenucci has found himself in and out of the side at Elland Road this season and it appears time could be up at the club as his contract is set to expire next month, and no new offer has yet been forthcoming from the Championship side.
The striker has scored 19 goals in 74 appearances for Leeds and it is reported that both Palermo and Hellas Verona are keen to add him to their ranks for next season.
The Leeds fans in The Tavern will be sorry to see Antenucci leave the club this summer and feel that he offers the club a different option up top!
Meanwhile, our landlord feels that the Italian forward is way too inconsistent and says it is probably best if Antenucci departs Elland Road in the summer.
