Leeds United still looking to add two strikers to their ranks

Kyle LaffertyThe Leeds United fans in The Transfer Tavern are having a friendly game of pool and discussing reports that the club are looking to add two strikers to their ranks.

HITC is reporting that the Yorkshire club are set to move for Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty and Middlesbrough striker Kike but not before the window shuts tonight.

Moves for either striker is likely to be put on hold until the emergency loan window opens next week.

Leeds have been linked with Lafferty for most of the window and the fact no deal has yet been reached is of surprise to many.

As for Kike he looks as though he will be looking elsewhere for first team football following his side Middlesbrough’s marquee signing Jordan Rhodes arriving at the club. At around 9.30 this evening the Yorkshire Evening Post reported:

“Less than two hours to go until the 11pm deadline and Leeds hopes for a deadline day signing now look to concern Kyle Lafferty and Kike.”

“Lafferty seems far more likely but for sure more likely in the forthcoming emergency loan window. Kike’s name has come back to prominence because of Middlesbrough sealing their move for striker Jordan Rhodes. Boro may now look to offload Kike and Leeds have shown an interest before but Wolves appear favourites to land his services.”

The Leeds fans in The Tavern are less than optomistic at the news that they could be set to sign either striker and will not get carried away until either deal is completed.
