Leeds want a winger and an attacking midfielder this January

Leeds United are thought to be keen on improving two more areas of their squad this winter in order to continue their charge for Premier League football.

The Whites are thought to be closing in on a deal for Real Madrid’s Kiko Casilla to bolster their goalkeeping options at Elland Road, however, one report has suggested two other positions that Marcelo Bielsa could look to add to.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds want to bring a winger and an attacking midfielder to their squad.

The Championship leaders have a relatively small selection of players to chose from, which has not helped considering all the injury problems they have had.

Samu Saiz left the club last month, which makes the need for an attacking midfielder an obvious area of the team to improve.

The Verdict:

Leeds have impressed this season considering the number of players they have available to them and the number of injuries that have occurred over the course of the campaign.

However, should they be able to add to the two positions, the Elland Road outfit could certainly entertain the possibility of playing Premier League football in the near future.

With Casilla thought to be on the verge of arriving, it could be a very exciting window for the Championship leaders.
