Leeds United love to leave it late, don’t they?! Marcelo Bielsa’s side managed to put themselves in the driving seat in the race for the final automatic spot – with Norwich City likely to occupy the other with the way things are currently going.
The Whites are going to need to add some Premier League experience to their side in the summer if they are to go up and one individual who has been identified as a target may help to bolster their squad.
What’s the News?
According to a report by TeamTALK, Leeds are understood to be interested in Everton’s Yannick Bolasie.
The Everton winger, who is on loan at Anderlecht after a rather disappointing spell at Aston Villa, is unlikely to remain at Goodison Park beyond the summer.
Bolasie would have to be considered a rather strange signing if Leeds were to try and bring him to Elland Road.
The winger had a rather torrid time at Aston Villa earlier in the campaign and he looked far from his best, whilst he has never been able to recapture the form displayed during his time at Crystal Palace and Everton before his devastating injury.
There would also have to be questions about whether he would be the type of player that would fit into Bielsa’s system. His work-rate leaves plenty to be desired, whilst the serious injury he suffered has hardly allowed for him to continue running back and forth on the wings for the duration of the match.
One thing that could appeal to those at Elland Road is the fact that he has plenty of Premier League experience, however, that does not always prove to be a good thing.
Leeds fans, should the club look to sign Bolasie in the summer? Or would they be better off trying to sign someone else? Join in with the discussion below by sharing your thoughts with us.
