Luke Freeman agrees new QPR deal

Queens Park Rangers have started to put results on the board as they look to climb the Championship table after a poor beginning.

Steve McClaren’s side, who drew 2-2 away at Stoke City at the weekend, have suffered just one defeat in their last five matches and will feel confident of getting a result against Rotherham United on Tuesday night.

One man that has been key to the way they play this season is Luke Freeman and they have rewarded the attacking midfielder with a new deal.

The club have confirmed on their official website that the 26-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a new contract that will keep him at Loftus Road until the summer of 2021.

Having joined the west London outfit in January 2017, he has become an integral member of the team and has been extremely influential with his performances, which has led to interest from other Championship clubs in the past.

The Verdict:

QPR will have been delighted to see Freeman sign a new deal and commit his future to the club until 2021.

The ever-popular midfielder had just 18-months left on his previous deal and there will have been some concerns that he could have been sold with Championship rivals thought to have been interested.

Now that his immediate future is sorted, Freeman will surely be looking to take things to a new level and help continue the R’s push towards a playoff spot and a return to the Premier League.
