Marcelo Bielsa could still look to loan market this summer

Leeds United could still see another player arrive at Elland Road this summer as they look to strengthen their squad.

The Whites are currently sitting on a 100% record in the Championship after two impressive displays against Stoke City and Derby County, however, it appears Marcelo Bielsa still feels he needs to add at least one more body.

When asked by Leeds Live, he revealed that his side would consider entering the loan market for another player, admitting that it would match the initial project that he had set out.

“We would probably look at the opportunity of getting another player. This will match our initial project,” he told Leeds Live.

The Elland Road outfit have already appeared to have recruited well in the transfer market, with the likes of Barry Douglas and Patrick Bamford joining permanently, whilst Lewis Baker, Jamal Blackman and Jack Harrison have all arrived on loan from two of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.

The Verdict:

Leeds already look a strong outfit this season and their performances have been nothing but impressive.

However, should the club be able to sign another player on loan before the end of August, they would surely only get better and would be in an even greater position to push for promotion.

Bielsa could look to add a centre-back to his squad this summer as they appear short of options, although the current pairing of Gaetano Berardi and Liam Cooper have been performing really well.
