Leeds United failed in their attempts to bring a winger to Elland Road in January and it appears they will try and address the issue in the summer.
According to a report by The Sun, Marcelo Bielsa is believed to be keen in signing Aaron Lennon and is already conducting background checks about a possible swoop.
The Burnley winger knows the Championship leaders very well, having started his career at the club.
Lennon, who has featured for the England international side 21 times, was largely successful having come through the academy ranks and became their youngest player in the Premier League in 2003.
The 31-year-old has become a key player for the Turf Moor outfit, however, he is on the sidelines with a knee injury and may have to miss the rest of the season.
Leeds will have been disappointed not to have been able to bring in a winger as they look to win promotion to the Premier League.
Lennon could be an excellent addition in the summer should Bielsa’s side manage to achieve their goals this season.
He would be able to bring plenty of experience to The Whites in what would be an emotional return to Elland Road should it happen.
The 31-year-old has continued to impress with his performances for Burnley, despite the well-documented issues he has had away from the field.
