Leeds United have started the Championship season in fine form as Marcelo Bielsa looks to be getting the best out of the players he currently has.
When asked about if the club was any closer to making any new additions, he replied by saying that there was “nothing new at the moment”.
It is believed the Argentine could be in the market to sign a couple of players to strengthen certain areas of the field, with central areas appearing to be the main focus.
It is thought he could look to the Premier League for a centre-back and a central midfielder after injuries have made his squad appear a little thinner than he would have initially liked.
Leeds have started off the Championship campaign well, however, one or two loan additions would only benefit Bielsa’s side.
It is no secret that the season is a long and gruelling one, especially with the demands that the Argentine has of his players, and the Whites could look to add a little more quality to certain areas.
It is well documented that he has connections with a number of Premier League managers, such as Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino, and despite not wanting to use them to his advantage, he should look to do so in order to give his side the best chance of being in the top-flight next season.
However, it could well be that the club are currently working on a deal or two, as Bielsa only revealed there was nothing new at the present moment.
