Marcus Antonsson set to seal switch away from Leeds

Leeds United have had a rather frustrating transfer window this summer under Marcelo Bielsa as they have struggled to get a number of their targets.

The new manager will have been keen on getting a number of his additions already in place this summer, however, the Whites have failed to get a number of the deals across the line.

Bielsa is also desperate to offload a number of the players he does not have plans for at Elland Road and it appears one man is a step closer to leaving the club this summer.

According to Expressen, the Swedish media outlet are claiming Marcus Antonsson is set to take a medical with FF Malmo as he looks to complete a move back to his homeland.

The report claims the striker has already agreed to the terms of a transfer from the Championship outfit and could be unveiled soon if the two clubs can agree to a fee.

The Verdict:

The transfer of Antonsson will not have come as a blow to Leeds this summer as he has not had the best two years of his career with them.

The Swede spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers and it appeared that his future would lie elsewhere to Elland Road, so all parties involved in the deal would be considered happy for it to happen.
