Leeds United are thought to be looking to add a new goalkeeper to their ranks in January, however, one man does not look likely to be heading to Elland Road any time soon.
The Whites have been heavily linked with a move for Newcastle United’s Freddie Woodman in recent weeks.
Leeds have just Bailey Peacock-Farrell as their only senior recognised shot-stopper as Jamal Blackman had to return to Chelsea with a broken leg.
However, Lee Ryder has given the Yorkshire outfit a possibly damaging update on a possible deal for the 21-year-old.

The Newcastle Chronicle’s senior Newcastle writer has revealed on Twitter that the Magpies have told Leeds that they can not consider a possible loan deal at the moment, with Karl Darlow having gone down injured.
The news will be a damaging transfer blow for Leeds and Marcelo Bielsa if they are unable to bring Woodman to Elland Road.
The ‘keeper is believed to be keen for first-team football, however, with Darlow’s injury, it would seem that Rafa Benitez needs him to provide cover for Martin Dubravka.
But, Leeds could still have some hope of landing the England Under-21 international at some point in January, as Newcastle’s stance may change as the weeks go by ahead of the transfer window.
