No decision has been made on Wes Hoolahan or Russell Martin

West Bromwich Albion are yet to decide on whether to take any of their trialists on a permanent deal.

According to a report by The Express and Star, Darren Moore has not yet made a decision on either Wes Hoolahan and Russell Martin and is due to speak with chief executive Mark Jenkins.

Both are currently free agents after their contracts expired in the summer and were given the international break as a chance to impress the Baggies boss in an attempt to win a short-term contract.

However, it has been revealed that the experienced duo have not been training with the side this week as Moore did not want any distractions as they prepare to face Birmingham City on Friday night.

It is understood that Hoolahan is of a particular interest to the Hawthorns outfit as they look to add more creative options to their side as they make a push for promotion back to the Premier League.

The Verdict:

Both Hoolahan and Martin would be great short-term options for the Baggies to have included in their squad as they look to gain promotion to the Premier League.

The pair have valuable experience of the Championship and would be able to add extremely key knowledge and information to Moore’s side.

West Brom will be looking overcome their close rivals on Friday night and are right to put all their attention into that game, whilst then making a decision about the duo in the early stages of next week.
