Even though Didier Drogba is no longer a Premier League player we have not forgotten him at the Football Transfer Tavern and with Gazzetta Dello Sport providing more information on his future, he is firmly back on our radar.
The Italian publication again debate the future of the Ivorian who seems set to join a Serie A outfit. Just which club Drogba will end up at however is the matter open for question with Juventus leading the charge.
AC Milan have also been linked to Mario Balotelli, and with uncertainty over Robinho’s future and Alexandre Pato’s having already completed a move back home to Corinthians, the Rossoneri are certainly in need of a forward. There is of course no doubting the quality of 34-year-old Drogba who fired Chelsea to Champions League glory from the penalty spot in Munich last season.
According to Gazzzetta, Juve are leading the chase for the player and whilst the Old Lady remain keen on Fernando Llorente, there is still a chance that Drogba could pen a deal with the club. The player himself has denied quotes attributed to his ‘agent’ claiming that a move is a done deal, stating: “Please note, these quotes are not correct. This guy is not Didier’s agent.”
The forward would be available on a free after his short stint in China with Shanghai Shenhua.
