West Ham United defender Sam Byram has joined Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan deal.
Sam Byram started his career at fellow Championship side Leeds United, making 130 league appearances before joining West Ham United in January 2016 and going on to feature in the Premier League and the Europa League.
However, the defender struggled to enjoy regular minutes in the English capital, so he has decided to make the loan switch to the City Ground.
Nottingham Forest will be delighted that they have secured the services of a player that has already enjoyed plenty of minutes in the Championship. The defender was one of the hottest prospects in English football during his time at Elland Road, but things just didn’t work out at West Ham United.
However, Forest have just increased their promotion chances by bringing the Englishman to the City Ground as he has shown that he can produce quality performances at this level, and even has experience in Europe and at the highest level of English football
