Nottingham Forest will be desperate to return to winning ways after the international break as they failed to secure all three points against Stoke City last time out.
Forest have struggled to ensure consistency in the current campaign under the guidance of Aitor Karanka, which has affected their push for a play-off spot slightly. However, it appears as if the club are eyeing a swoop, as according to The Daily Mirror (November 17th, page 63) (via HITC), Nottingham Forest will be back for Angel Rangel.
It’s understood that Nottingham Forest will be back with an offer for Angel Rangel in January,
However, they could face stiff competition for the full-back, as Norwich City and two American clubs (DC United and New York City) are also keen on the Queens Park Rangers star.
Interestingly, QPR are believed to be keen on offering the experienced defender a new deal, but the recent interest could put them in an uncomfortable position, which would open the door for Forest to swoop in.
Angel Rangel hasn’t let his age affect him in the current campaign as he continues to defy expectations at Queens Park Rangers, with a number of accomplished performances under his belt.
Nottingham Forest already have the likes of Sam Byram and Saidy Janko at the club in the full-back position, but moving for Rangel would provide the experience that has been missing at times.
