Leeds United could only manage a draw against fellow high-flyers Middlesbrough at Elland Road yesterday as they continue their unbeaten start to proceedings in the Championship.
The Whites have been completely redefined under Marcelo Bielsa as they continue to push towards promotion to the Premier League. Although, the Yorkshire club did send one of their youngsters out on loan recently, as according to Leeds United’s official Twitter account, Oliver Sarkic has joined Barakaldo CF on a season-long loan.
Indeed, Leeds United have confirmed that young striker Oliver Sarkic has agreed terms on a loan exit to Spanish third division side Barakaldo CF.
Interestingly, the 21-year-old signed a permanent deal at Elland Road back in January of this year, but he hasn’t been able to make the step up as a loan move away seems like a suitable move for the striker.
Leeds United won’t mind that Oliver Sarkic has been sent out on a season-long loan, but the fact that he will be playing his football in the third tier of Spanish football is quite confusing. Indeed, you struggle to see what the youngster will learn and how he will develop at such a low level.
The Whites have been incredible so far this season and currently have one of the most dangerous attacks in the Championship, so it comes as no surprise that Sarkic has been sent out on loan.
