Leeds United are thought to be in the transfer market for a defender and it appears they may have identified a possible target.
Marcelo Bielsa has already worked hard to strengthen other areas of his squad this summer and has made a number of additions already.
He has seen Patrick Bamford and Barry Douglas join on permanent deals, whilst he has also looked to some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs to get a number of loan deals to help with their aims of a successful Championship season.
However, it looks as though Leeds could return to the top-flight for their next target and it would be a man that knows the club very well.
According to Phil Hay, the Whites are considering a move for Everton’s Matthew Pennington once again as they look to bolster their defensive options.
Pennington is a target again. Ekuban and O’Kane told they can go. Just depends on offers.

The centre-back was at Elland Road last season and is thought to favour a return to the Yorkshire outfit.
Leeds need to bring in a centre-back this summer as they do not have many options in their squad, however, it remains questionable if the 23-year-old is the right man for the job.
The Everton graduate did not have the best of year’s with the Championship side last season as he struggled with injuries and also failed to make a real impact at Elland Road.
However, with time running out in the transfer window, the Whites may not have enough time to find an alternative and would be wise to act as quickly as possible.
