After a surging start to the Championship season, Leeds were finally stopped in their tracks by a very strong Swansea side.
Although it’s early in the season, Leeds looked like strong favourites to gain promotion this season but after Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw where the Yorkshire club had to come back from a goal down twice, Bielsa’s side were reminded that the Championship is going to be a very tough league.
Following the game, Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay reported that Marcelo Bielsa isn’t interested in signing another defender.
Bielsa giving the impression that he doesn't need another centre-back. Says Jansson's injury isn't serious, they're not sure on Cooper yet but that he trusts Ayling, Berardi and Shaughnessy. Says he doesn't know why Cooper's injury would lead to questions re: signing another CB.

Although Pontus Jansson’s injury isn’t serious, ruling out a move for another defender seems slightly risky.
Having started the season with a mostly unchanged squad, Bielsa was forced to rotate his squad following injuries to Jansson and Liam Cooper.
Cooper sustained an injury in the warmup to the Swansea game and with Jansson also injured, it meant that the Argentinian had to shift Luke Ayling inside and put Jamie Shackleton at right-back.
Marcelo Bielsa is a fan of working with a small squad in order to build continuity throughout his season and make it easier to embed his methods on a team.
Constantly training the same players in your way of coaching will pay dividends over time, however, over a 46-game season, it’s going to be very hard to keep the same XI week-to-week.
Moreover, with Bielsa’s high energy and attacking style of player, it will take a huge toll on the players. Issuing a statement claiming that he’s happy with his defence may, on the one hand, give his player’s confidence but it may also leave Leeds short.
