Plymouth Argyle are thought to be interested in adding striking options to their side this season.

According to a report by HITC Sport, Ipswich Town’s Jordan Roberts is the subject of a loan bid from the Home Park outfit.

However, The Pilgrims will face stiff competition for his signature, with Bradford City and MK Dons also thought to be keen on the 25-year-old.

The Championship outfit are believed to have accepted the offers received, leaving Roberts with a choice to make.

Derek Adams’ team are currently second from bottom in League One, however, they have managed to turn things around in 2019.

They are unbeaten in three matches, with two consecutive wins, and have caught up with Bradford and Oxford United in the table.

The Verdict:

Plymouth appear to have found some form recently, however, the addition of Roberts could be huge in terms of their survival chances.

The 25-year-old, who has featured for Paul Lambert’s side this season, could benefit from heading out on loan to get regular playing time as competition for places at Portman Road is set to get fierce.

Plymouth will be hoping they can keep their fine unbeaten run going at the weekend when they host Coventry City at Home Park on Saturday.
