Portsmouth have held talks with Nottingham Forest midfielder Ryan Yates and are poised to finalise a loan.
It’s understood that the deal will be a loan for the rest of the season with a view to a permanent transfer.
Rotherham United are also interested in securing the young midfielder, but Portsmouth look set to wrap up a loan in time to register Yates from January 1.
So, it looks as if Portsmouth are set to secure the services of Ryan Yates in the form of a loan deal.
The midfielder has been impressive during his various loan spells in recent years, with the ability to have a positive impact in the final third, so he could be a real asset at Fratton Park.
