Our Birmingham City fans are hoping for what is going to be an exciting Championship battle for promotion this season.
The men from St. Andrew’s may have only just stayed up in the division last year but they know that before Gary Rowett left as manager they had a real chance of the top six at the very least.
And now, with Harry Redknapp in charge, they are once again hopeful that they can turn things around once again and get up the league.
For sure, Redknapp knows the division well and how to get clubs promoted so the positive signs are there and it seems as though he is still ready to sign more players before the window shuts.
He told the BBC:
“We’re a little bit short at the moment – we need to improve the squad this week if we can.
“We’ve been trying, but it’s been very difficult to get the players in who we’ve been chasing. Hopefully we’ll get there – it’s not been through lack of effort.”
For sure, the Blues have a man who knows how to play the transfer market well and, though they missed out on John Terry, there is still plenty of business to be done.
If Redknapp can get it right, then, the Blues could be in for a top campaign.
The Blues may have missed out on Terry but they are still in good shape to pull up a few trees this season.
Of course, Redknapp wants to add to their squad and will look to do that as soon as he can but there is a decent core of players at the club already. If Redknapp can add to it, then, things could be rosy for the Blues.
